Q & A

How long have you been doing what you do and how did you become a DJ and MC?

ALEX: While in high school here in San Antonio, I had the opportunity to volunteer with an experienced DJ as he performed at events around the city. During my time spent at these events, I found that not only was I passionate about music, but I also realized that I was very gifted as a DJ myself. I had a talent of keeping a crowd on the dance floor and it felt wonderful! This was 23 years ago.

SHERNIECE: My story actually began in the corporate world. I was a new associate trainer for 10 years at a successful mutual fund company. Little did I know that being a facilitator was God’s way of training me for his plans for our future. I use all the knowledge I gained on a daily basis as I coordinate weddings. My husband and I realized that we needed to figure out how to make weddings our career. And so Dynamic DJ Productions was born.

SHERNIECE: I can truly relate with brides especially because I did not have my own dream wedding. I had the resources but I didn’t have the knowledge. I didn’t know what I really wanted so we settled for getting married at the courthouse. I didn’t know how to merge all of the various ideas I had of my perfect wedding at the time. I felt overwhelmed and stressed just thinking about it! Only if I knew then, what I know now. With the best vendors using their outstanding talents on your team your dream wedding is possible.

ALEX: As we worked with dozens and dozens of brides and their families, we saw a need for a full-service combination of DJ, MC and Event Coordination in San Antonio to help struggling stressed out brides, grooms and families coordinate and design their dream wedding days. We found that people are either at their best or at their worst at a wedding, depending on their stress levels and support around them.

SHERNIECE: My favorite thing was when I discovered how to eliminate the stress around wedding coordination, lack of time and know-how is something that most brides struggle with and that is where I come in. We start out by determining what is truly important to you and your fiancé. Then we dive into your needs, loves and personality. The best part about tapping into these keys is that I learned how to allow my couples to focus on their love for one another more than all the other stuff that tends to get in the way.

This all sounds so wonderful. But, it also seems expensive. Are we going to be able to afford all this?

ALEX: Definitely! We offer comparable prices to other professional DJs in San Antonio with the added bonus of having a DJ, MC and Online Event Coordination. We also offer convenient payment plans which include 6 months no interest financing or 3 easy installments and the PayPal option of “Bill Me Later.” Additionally, we accept all major credit cards.

SHERNIECE: Plus, we’ve actually had people who decided that we were “too expensive” to work with us in the past, but came back after their weddings and let us know how they spent an excessive amount in other areas and wished they would have allocated more of their budget towards entertainment. It wasn’t even close to what they wanted and they realized that the coordination and entertainment really does make up the majority of the success. What a terrible experience for a family to have to go through! We don’t want that to happen to you.

Do you have liability insurance?

ALEX: Yes. We have liability insurance that allows us to work confidently everywhere. We have never needed it, but we are protected to help you feel more secure and safe for your peace of mind knowing that we’re fully covered.
